Amazon - Little People Disney Characters - Price Drops Plus New and Hard-to-Find Sets!

I know a lot of people in the Disney community collect Vinylmations, and believe me - I have my fair share in display cases - but one thing I have always loved (even before becoming a Disney geek) are Fisher-Price's Little People.

I have loved the Little People since they were wooden and in my childhood back in the 70s.  So, have the Fisher-Price and Disney team up?  Well, that just gets me excited.  I have a few sets of these already, but let's face it -- they aren't very cheap.

I've had my eye on a few rarer sets and even tried to catch them when they go on sale or I have a coupon.  Lucky for me, Amazon sent me an e-mail today letting me know a few of the sets have dropped in price, and I even spotted this new (or possibly even RARE) Sleeping Beauty set (pictured above).  I'm seeing a purchase in my future....are you?

Click on the images below to visit Amazon's site and purchase your own Fisher-Price Little People sets.  It's never too early to start your collection!

Disney Style Snapshots: Celebrating Disney Fairies

*Courtesy Disney Parks Blog
Disney is celebrating Disney Fairies this week as part of their Limited Time Magic at Disney Parks.

Tinker Bell was the obvious inspiration for this outfit. She is by far one of the favorite Disney characters. She’s the perfect blend of feminine and edgy, qualities often mimicked in fashion.

If you want to channel your inner Tink, start with this lace and sequin detailed tee. It can take you from a day in the park to a casual evening of cocktails with friends. A pair of distressed jeans (we pulled these from our closet) and accessories in soft hues of cream and gold complete the look.

The stylish Steve Madden tote is large enough to accommodate the sequined Tinker Bell cosmetic bag filled with a neutral Beautifully Disney eye shadow palette — Enchanted Kiss.  The watch features rose gold tone hardware, a big trend for 2013.  And the ombre crystal earrings are from popular designer Tarina Tarantino’s Spectrum Line.

The handbag and earrings are available at Vault 28 at the Disneyland Resort.

Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy Takes Families on a
Whirlwind Tour of Contemporary and Classic Disney Tales

Production Features Live Adaptation of Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 3 and
Life-Sized Animated Characters from Disney/Pixar’s Cars

Feld Entertainment’s action-packed ice spectacular, Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Fantasy, whisks audiences on a captivating adventure to four magical locations, including the auto-racing terrain of Cars and a visit to Andy’s bedroom for some fun with the stars of Toy Story 3.

This production delights audiences with a journey under the sea to Ariel’s world from The Little Mermaid and then into the mystical land of Pixie Hollow for a presentation of Tinker Bell.

“To be the first to introduce the Tinker Bell story live on ice and to be
entrusted with the beloved Toy Story characters is incredible, and we are
thrilled to bring these heartwarming tales to families across the United
States,” says producer Nicole Feld.

“The arena instantly transforms into Pixie Hollow as we show our audience
how the fairies prepare for spring with an explosion of color. To convey the
world of the toys and create the proper toy-to-human scale, we manipulated the size of the props and costumes to make live skaters – and even the audience – seem toy size,” she adds

Railton took particular care with Pixie Hollow. “Audiences are still getting
to know Pixie Hollow, so it was important to me to capture the lushness
and the scale detailed in the film,” says Railton.  Because fairies are
miniature in size, Railton used inflatable technology to create a giant tree
backdrop.  In the finale, larger than life butterflies float onto the ice as
oversized inflatable flowers bloom around the ice signifying the arrival of
spring.
